Organise in App
Keep kids, pets, anniversaries, and everyone else you track neatly organised in one place.
Easily group those you add, and favourite which group you would like to appear at the top of your dashboard.
Styles & Themes
The v2.0 widget update is not just bigger, it is more expressive. Choose from multiple looks across Photo and Dashboard widgets, including standout styles like Gallery, Magazine, and Terminal.
Supported styles can follow your App Theme or use their own per-widget colour theme, while Image Theme can pull colour directly from your photo for a more tailored result.
It is a homepage greatest-hits view of the new system. For the full breakdown of styles, theme options, and Widget Playground, head to the widgets page.
Age Display Style
Choose the age wording that best fits the moment, whether you want precise milestones or something that reads more naturally at a glance.
Smart
The Smart style is precise for early milestones, showing days, weeks, and months before moving into longer-term ages.
Casual
The Casual style is better for everyday language, giving you a softer description when exact precision is less important.
Shortcuts
Bring Gammel into Apple Shortcuts when you want ages and anniversaries available beyond the app itself.
You can fetch someone’s current age, or ask what their age was or will be at another point in time, then pass that result into the next step of your shortcut.
Apple Watch
Your data also travels to Apple Watch, giving you a dedicated watch app alongside complications on your watch face.
It is another quick-glance surface for the same ages and anniversaries you track on iPhone, iPad, and your Home Screen widgets.
“During the first few years of my son’s life I would need to know his age in weeks, then months, and I was always having to stop and think and do maths in my head.
I created Gammel so I could have a widget on my phone as a quick and easy reminder, and v2.0 is the version where that idea finally feels as rich, flexible, and polished as I wanted it to.”
— Luke, developer of Gammel
